In June, we added a log viewer to trakked. Thanks to your feedback, we have now made minor improvements, which I would like to briefly present to you in this post.

As a reminder: trakked automatically collects the log files of your Contao installations and displays the error messages clearly in one place.

Here are the improvements we have made to the log viewer:

Deactivate logs per installation

You may not want to collect logs for certain systems, for example for development or test systems.
You can find the new setting in the advanced settings of your installation. Simply activate the switch next to "Disable Logs Feature".

If log files already exist, they are immediately hidden in the log viewer.

Search filters can be negated

You already know this feature from other areas of trakked and it now also works with the logs. Double-clicking on a filter inverts it. This means, for example, that you can hide all entries that originate from the ‘request’ channel.

Reset search filters on click

If you frequently work with the logs, you will certainly appreciate this small improvement. Let's assume you check the logs for each installation and select the name of the installation. When selecting the next installation, you have to deselect the previous one each time. To make this process easier, we have included a practical addition: Hold down the ALT tab on Windows or the Options tab on Mac while clicking on the next label with the mouse. This will automatically delete the previously selected labels in this category.

It's best to watch the video or try it out for yourself.

As soon as you click, data is downloaded from YouTube and thus your IP address is submitted to their servers. For more information on data protection regarding our newsletter, please visit our privacy policy.
