The database column challenge for spam protection using ALTCHA was too short for certain hash algorithms (e.g., SHA-512) and has been enlarged accordingly. In addition, an error in the migration of the layout template has been fixed.
About Contao 5.6
The first stable version of Contao 5.6 has been released on 18 August 2025 and has been the successor of Contao 5.5. 5.6 will be updated until 14 February 2026, after which it will be replaced by Contao 5.7.
